Provident Spend Management, a strategic purchasing firm specializing in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry, announced today that Shail Shah has joined the team in the role of Senior Procurement Consultant for Ingredients. Shail’s hiring comes as a result of significant growth in the company’s ‘Ingredient 2.0’ and ‘Master Distributor’ programs for reducing expenses and improving all aspects of sourcing.
“Shail brings over 10 years of global procurement experience in the food industry and ingredient sourcing to his new role. He has been successful in implementing strategic sourcing strategies that have helped companies improve competitive position, revenue, and profitability. In addition to extensive experience sourcing a variety of ingredients while working for Tate and Lyle, Ferrara Candy Company, and Griffith Foods, Shah has experience in procurement spend analytics, commodity market analysis, supplier relationship management, strong cross-functional collaboration, P2P process, should cost modeling, negotiation, and budgeting.
Shah received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and an MBA in Operations Management from Benedictine University.
